They are calling for rain today here near Montreal. I just LOVE rainy days: it’s time to cozy up and READ!
One thing I do once in a while is wrap up a book from my Secret Book Stash. I then hide it in the house – or just leave it in plain sight, depending if I managed to wake up before or after my kids, haha! – and we have a treasure hunt. Then the fun of unwrapping it. Then reading, all snuggled.
For these occasions, I try to choose a longer story, a new reference book (on animals, nature… ) or a new title for one of their collections. This way, we have the time to really enjoy the new book!

P.S. It’s written “Jour de pluie” on the wrapping paper, which translates from French to English as “rainy day”.
